Condor Ferries operate a year-round ferry service connecting the UK, Guernsey, Jersey and the port of St Malo in France. Every year they carry over 1 million passengers, 200,000 passenger vehicles and 100,000 freight vehicles via their service. Condor is an international transport business, requiring multiple websites for their freight service, multi-language website as well as their main website where they manage a large part of their bookings.
Our work with Condor started when they reached out to us for taking over the management of their existing main website. Condor asked us to redesign their site, which then followed on to us building other mini projects.
The speed that these initial changes came into play meant that the handover period from their current agency was cut short. We had to pick up our understanding of the finer details to develop and create entirely new templates for the website which provided an extra layer of complication to the primary project.
Our priority was to understand the logic and detail behind the build. The level of knowledge and experience of our team, paired with the fact that we specialise in .NET and are a Umbraco Gold partner, made this task straightforward. We created and built entirely new templates which allowed the customer's experience to be seamless from any device.
After the website redesign, we provided Condor with our Umbraco Support services and took on numerous side projects such as a reservation booking system. Users expect an effortless booking experience, so we developed an intuitive online system that improved the user experience.
We re-channeled the content on their app to match the new website, performed A/B split testing and created a voucher application form for customers who had booked ferry tickets before the Covid-19 pandemic and needed to cancel or rebook. We also made website performance and SEO adjustments.
